The vaginal speculum is a device used to widen the vaginal walls for cervical access and visualization. Invented in 1869, the current design remains vastly unchanged.

The Revyn Solution redefines the standard of care for gynecological exams by addressing the key challenges faced by both patients and practitioners.

As a direct result of speculum use, 600+ patients said:

Despite preventability, cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer globally among people with cervixes and leads to 350,000 deaths annually.

After spending the last 8 years building technical knowledge in biomedical engineering and health sciences, Keeley is turning her passion for improving healthcare outcomes into a reality. Her success as a founder and leader is highlighted by the numerous awards and pitch competition wins that have secured funding for Revyn’s continued growth.

Samantha Sperling
VP of Product Development, B. Eng.

Samantha’s passion for addressing unmet needs and health inequities led her to become a biomedical engineer. She leads product development after having built a comprehensive
set of research, materials engineering, and product optimization skills through her work with the Victoria Hand Project and SETU Technologies.

Joshua Latimer
VP of Engineering, B. Eng.

Currently researching advanced 3D-printing methods for his master’s at the University of Victoria, Joshua leads the technical aspects of the design through all stages. Through his work with Axolotl Biosciences, Joshua also brings 4 years of life-sciences startup
experience to the team.

Zoe Crookshank
VP of Operations, B. Eng.

As a mechanical engineer, Zoe developed her prototyping and mechatronics skills through
her work with Canadian startup, Niricson. With a passion for entrepreneurship that’s been growing since writing her first business plan at 16, Zoe ensures alignment between the technical and operational sides of Revyn.

Devon Carmichael

With her dedication to biomedical engineering and continued education, Devon has completed her certificate in Medical Device Project Management. Devon applies these skills for effective project planning as well as business and regulatory procedures at Revyn.
